Patients and Families,

In an effort to serve our patients and families effectively, we have decided to implement the following changes to help bring peace of mind and minimize exposure for our staff and you.  We are changing the patient flow within our office effective Monday, April 27, 2020 until further notice.

We will begin splitting the office into 2 separate sections using a physical barrier to separate the office creating 2 different workflows and areas for sick visit patients versus well visit patients.

This will include implementing the following:

Sick Visit Patients

  • Patients will enter and exit through the middle door on the south side of the building.  This will be marked with signage as Sick Visit Patient Entrance.
  • Patients will follow directional signs and check in at the current check out windows.
  • Once checked in, patients will be directed to their exam room.
  • The nurse will meet patients in the room for weight and vitals, etc,.
  • Once the visit is complete, patients will return to the check-out area, check out, and then exit through the same door they entered.

Well Visit Patients

  • Patients will enter and exit through the regular entrance.  This will be marked with signage as Well Visit Patient Entrance.
  • Patients will check in at the current check in window.
  • Once checked in, patients will be directed to their exam room.
  • The nurse will meet patients in the room for weight and vitals, etc,.
  • Once the visit is complete, patients will return to the waiting room checkin window, check out, and then exit through the same door they entered.

Additionally, when scheduling or confirming patient appointments, we are asking and/orcommunicating the following:

  • Has the patient or a family member been exposed to someone with the COVID virus?
  • Does the patient or a family member have a cough or fever?
  • We ask that only 1 person attends the appointment with the patient.  BUT, well checks for patients under 12 months old may have both parents if they want.
  • No siblings should attend the visit if possible.
  • We have implemented Televisits to handle some office visits.  You must be on the patient portal to join these, so contact the office if you have yet to engage our portal or the Healow app from your phone.
  • When scheduling a Televisit, please keep in mind that providers are also seeing patients in the office and could run behind.  If patients have been waiting for a provider to join their Televisit for 15 minutes, please call our office so we can assist.

Thanks for your patience through this difficult time, and please remember God is in control and we will get through this by His grace!

It is our privilege to provide care for your family!
